This position will be responsible for the independent development of a natural resource management program for controlling wildlife, on and near airports that can be hazardous to commercial aircraft operations, and to coordinate these programs with regulatory agencies. The incumbent will be expected to work with minimal direction and at the advanced journey level.The Sr. Natural Resources Specialist will perform the following duties:• Develop/coordinate mitigation programs for protected species.
• Develop land resource and wildlife management policies, programs and goals.
• Design monitoring programs and review land development construction drawings to ensure environmental compliance on various construction/maintenance projects.
• Conduct daily inspections of critical areas to wildlife hazard management to prevent hazards to operations.
• Develops and oversees implementation of wildlife control programs for maintaining and enhancing biodiversity.
• Develop and track statistical information and reports on wildlife strikes, observations, and control activities.
• Conducts studies on habitat wildlife conditions and research possible improvements to the habitat.
• Develop and implement wildlife control programs including trapping, fencing, and baiting of animals and biological control and nuisance abatement.Minimum Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in fields such as Biology, Wildlife and Fisheries Biology, Resource Science, Botany, Forestry, Landscape Architecture or related studies.

In order to keep our company growing, we are interested in hiring a Project Level Biologist. Minimum of 3 years experience required. A project level biologist would manage projects, conduct field surveys (botanical, wildlife, wetlands, or fisheries depending on your technical expertise), assist with resource agency and client coordination, and the management of staff biologists and support staff.

Responsibilities would include:
- Managing projects;
- Conducting field surveys for plants and/or animals (depending on technical expertise) as necessary to assist project and stafflevel biologists;
- Interacting with agency personnel and project clients;
- Preparing permit application packages for submittal to the resource agencies;
- Preparing biological constraints analyses and biological resource sections of EIRs,
- Managing staff level biologists and support staff;
Key Qualifications:
A Bachelors degree in environmental biology, ecology, fisheries, wildlife management, botany, or related field. Aminimum of 3 years work experience. The following qualifications are also necessary;
- Knowledge of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), the federal and state Endangered Species Acts, and the Clean Water Act.
- Knowledge of California flora, and/or fauna (depending on technical expertise), and vegetation communities. (Strong field skills a plus).
- Experience writing biological reports.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work on several projects at once.
