The Wildlife Soceity comprises several levels of orgnization from the national organization to seven regional sections that comprise several states each to many local chapters throughout the United States. Each level has its own dues and benefits.
The San Joaquin Valley Chapter is part of the Western Section, which includes California, Hawaii, Nevada, and Guam. You do not have to join the section of national organization to become a memeber of the chapter.

Professional Growth: Enhance your professional growth by serving on a committee, publishing or reviewing a journal or magazine article, presenting a paper or poster at our annual conference, and serving as a leader in one of our many sections, chapters and working groups.
Professional Credentials: Receive recognition of your professional credentials by becoming an Associate or Certified Wildlife Biologist. Participate in continuing education activites and earn the Professional Development Certificate.
Peer Network: Increase your peer network by attending The Society's Annual Conference, as well as section, chapter and working group meetings. Keep in touch with other wildlife professionals by subscribing to the TWS-L listserver.
